SEMA3C is a secreted glycoprotein (UniProt Q99985, approximately 85 kDa) belonging to the semaphorin class 3 family of neuronal guidance cues. It binds plexin family members and contributes to developmental regulation, including normal cardiovascular development during embryogenesis, and acts as an attractant for growing axons, supporting axon growth and axon guidance.
