Human Selectin, Leukocyte (SELL) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie ELISA kit enables quantitative measurement of human L-selectin, also known as SELL or CD62L. This C-type lectin adhesion molecule is expressed on the surface of leukocytes and mediates the initial tethering and rolling of circulating lymphocytes and neutrophils on vascular endothelium at sites of inflammation, as well as homing of naive lymphocytes to peripheral lymph nodes.

Researchers studying vascular biology, inflammatory disease mechanisms, transplant rejection, sepsis biomarkers, and leukocyte trafficking use this kit to measure circulating L-selectin as an indicator of leukocyte activation, since the receptor is shed from the cell surface upon activation. Applications include immunology research, autoimmune disease investigation, and studies of neutrophil and lymphocyte behavior in vitro.

The assay is supplied as a complete reagent kit supporting 96 individual reactions in a standard microplate format. Each kit includes antibody-coated plate wells, detection reagents, reference standards, and buffer solutions required to generate a calibration curve and quantify native SELL protein in human blood fractions, tissue homogenate preparations, and related clinical research specimens.
