Human Selectin, Endothelium (SELE) ELISA Kit

Quantitative measurement of soluble human E-selectin (SELE / CD62E) in human plasma samples, tissue homogenates, cell lysates and cell culture supernatants. E-selectin is a 110 kDa inducible adhesion glycoprotein expressed on activated vascular endothelium, upregulated by inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-alpha and IL-1 beta, and mediates the initial rolling and tethering of leukocytes along the vessel wall during acute and chronic inflammation.

Built for in vitro research use only, this Assay Genie kit provides a quantitative tool for studies in vascular biology, atherosclerosis, sepsis, diabetes-related endothelial dysfunction, tumor metastasis and transplant rejection research, where circulating SELE levels serve as a biomarker of endothelial activation.

Reagents are sufficient for 96 assays and include a pre-coated plate, biotinylated detection antibody, recombinant human SELE standards, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, substrate, wash buffer and stop solution supplied in individual vials. Components are shipped refrigerated and should remain refrigerated between uses; reconstituted standards and working detector solution should be aliquoted to limit freeze-thaw exposure.

Workflow: dispense standards and samples into plate wells, incubate, wash, add detection antibody, incubate, wash, add streptavidin-HRP, incubate, wash, add substrate, stop the reaction, then read absorbance on a standard microplate reader. Researchers are advised to validate dilution linearity for their specific sample matrix prior to quantification.
