Human Secretin (SCT) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Secretin (SCT) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is specific for natural and recombinant human Secretin. It is intended for research use only, with applications in signal transduction research.

The kit offers a detection range of 1.56–100 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.69 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.2% and inter-assay CV is 10.2%. Linearity has been validated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Recovery ranges from 88–100% in serum and 90–102% in plasma.

Secretin is a gastrointestinal regulatory hormone that stimulates formation of NaHCO(3)-rich pancreatic juice, promotes NaHCO(3)-rich bile secretion and inhibits HCl production by the stomach. The associated UniProt entry is P09683.
