Quantitative measurement of human secretin receptor (SCTR) protein levels in research samples is supported by this ELISA-based assay from Assay Genie, supplied as a complete kit covering 96 Assays. Secretin receptor is a Class B GPCR that binds the peptide hormone secretin and transduces signaling through Gs-coupled activation of adenylyl cyclase, raising intracellular cAMP. It is expressed in pancreatic duct epithelium, cholangiocytes of the bile duct, gastric mucosa, and kidney, where it regulates pancreatic bicarbonate and water secretion, biliary flow, and gastric acid homeostasis.

Researchers studying pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, cystic fibrosis-related pancreatic insufficiency, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and gastrointestinal peptide hormone signaling commonly quantify SCTR as a biomarker or pharmacological readout. The kit includes a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized recombinant standards, biotinylated detection reagent, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, wash buffer, substrate, and stop solution.

For in vitro research use only. Serum or plasma specimens are recommended sample types. Reconstituted standards and diluted samples should be kept cold, and unused strips returned to the foil pouch with desiccant and stored at 4 degrees C. Bring all reagents to room temperature before initiating the assay, and consult the included protocol insert for incubation times, wash steps, and recommended dilutions.
