Human Secreted frizzled-related protein 1 (SFRP1) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit with colorimetric detection is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Secreted frizzled-related protein 1 (SFRP1). It is reactive with human samples including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and is supplied for research use only in the cancer research area.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.22ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is reported at 4.5% and inter-assay CV at 7.8%. Linearity in spiked serum (n=5) was 94-104%, 106-117%, 101-110% and 104-114% at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions respectively, with EDTA plasma and heparin plasma also characterised across the same dilutions. Recovery averaged 94% (range 88-100) in serum and 96% (range 90-102) in plasma.

SFRP1 functions as a soluble modulator of Wnt signalling through direct interaction with Wnts, playing a role in regulating cell growth and differentiation in specific cell types. The protein is localised as secreted and cell membrane- or extracellular matrix-associated, released by heparin-binding. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant human SFRP1, with listed synonyms including Secreted apoptosis-related protein 2, SARP-2, FRP-1, FRP, FRP1 and SARP2.
