Human Secretagogin (SCGN) ELISA Kit

Secretagogin (SCGN) is a calcium-binding protein of the EF-hand family, expressed predominantly in pancreatic beta cells and certain neuroendocrine populations. This quantitative immunoassay from Assay Genie supports research into beta-cell biology, type 1 diabetes biomarker discovery, and neuroendocrine tumor characterization. SCGN has also been investigated as a candidate marker in neuronal injury and stroke studies.

The kit is supplied as a complete reagent set with pre-coated microplate strips, calibration standards, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, substrate solution, and wash buffer. Researchers may analyze serum or plasma specimens along with prepared tissue homogenate samples using the included protocol.
