Human SEC61alpha ELISA Kit (HUFI08489)

The Assay Genie Human SEC61alpha ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of SEC61A1, the pore-forming alpha subunit of the endoplasmic reticulum SEC61 translocon complex, a channel with a native molecular weight of approximately 52 kDa. SEC61alpha drives co-translational translocation of nascent polypeptides into the ER lumen and mediates calcium leak from intracellular stores. Researchers apply this assay to investigate the unfolded protein response, antigen processing and presentation, ER-associated degradation, calcium homeostasis, and the cytosolic entry route used by bacterial AB toxins such as diphtheria and cholera toxin.
