The Human SDCCAG8 ELISA Kit from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of Serologically Defined Colon Cancer Antigen 8, a centrosomal/ciliary protein encoded by the SDCCAG8 gene on chromosome 1q44. SDCCAG8 (also called BBS16 or NPHP10) is implicated in Bardet-Biedl syndrome and Senior-Løken syndrome, where mutations disrupt ciliogenesis; the kit specifically detects human SDCCAG8 and supports renal-retinal ciliopathy, nephronophthisis, and obesity-related phenotype research. Each microplate provides ample well capacity for standard curves and replicate samples, and the kit is intended for research use only in vitro. Unopened components are shipped refrigerated and should be stored refrigerated until the printed expiry; reconstituted standards are best aliquoted and frozen to limit freeze-thaw degradation of capture antibody activity.
