Human SCOC (Short coiled-coil protein) ELISA KIT (HUFI04888)

Human SCOC (also known as SCOCO or HRIHFB2072) is a 13.7 kDa Golgi-resident protein encoded on chromosome 5, most highly expressed in brain, heart, and skeletal muscle. It dimerizes through a parallel left-handed coiled-coil domain and binds the trans-Golgi GTPase Arl1, the kinesin adaptor FEZ1, UVRAG, and ATG8 homologs (LC3, GABARAP) via an N-terminal LIR motif, releasing ULK1 from FEZ1 inhibition to drive starvation-induced autophagy. The Assay Genie kit uses a human-specific capture antibody and shows no significant cross-reactivity with rat or mouse Scoc orthologs, supporting species-specific quantification of endogenous protein. Each pre-coated microplate well accommodates a 100 uL sample load; reconstituted standards and detection antibody should be aliquoted and stored refrigerated at 4 °C, protected from light, and protected from repeated freeze-thaw cycles. The kit supports longitudinal profiling of circulating SCOC in neuroscience and cell biology workflows, including studies of Golgi ribbon maintenance, vesicular trafficking, neuronal autophagy flux, and FEZ1/ULK1 pathway activity.
