Description

From Assay Genie, this Human SCAMP1 (Secretory Carrier-Associated Membrane Protein 1) ELISA Kit is a sandwich ELISA using a double-antibody format designed for the quantitative measurement of SCAMP1 in human samples. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay targets SCAMP1, a protein involved in intracellular membrane trafficking and vesicle formation within secretory pathways, with dysregulation implicated in neurological disorders, cancer and metabolic abnormalities, making it of interest as a potential biomarker for cell biology research.

Performance specifications include a sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL and a standard range of 78.125–5000 pg/mL. Reported linearity for serum (n = 5) at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is 98–105%, 85–102% and 86–103% respectively; EDTA plasma shows 84–99%, 84–98% and 83–99%; and heparin plasma shows 81–95%, 80–100% and 88–100%. Spike-and-recovery ranges are 85–104% (average 94%) for serum, 90–103% (average 97%) for EDTA plasma and 91–97% (average 94%) for heparin plasma. Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

The workflow involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin incubation for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm immediately after stop solution addition. Sample preparation protocols are provided for serum, plasma, tissue homogenate, cell culture supernatant and cell lysate.
