Human SARDH/Sarcosine dehydrogenase ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie for the detection of human SARDH (Sarcosine dehydrogenase) in serum and plasma samples using a colorimetric detection method.

SARDH encodes a mitochondrial matrix enzyme that catalyzes the oxidative demethylation of sarcosine, and has been linked in the literature to conditions such as prostate cancer, schizophrenia, and hepatocellular carcinoma. Defects in SARDH cause sarcosinemia, an autosomal recessive metabolic disorder characterized by elevated sarcosine levels in plasma and urine. The protein belongs to the GcvT family and is located in the mitochondrial matrix.

Known synonyms include BPR-2, SarDH, and DMGDHL1 (UniProt: Q9UL12). Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL, sensitivity of 0.075 ng/mL, intra-assay CV of 5.2%, and inter-assay CV of 10.3%. The kit is intended for research use only.
