SAR1A (Secretion-Associated Ras-related GTPase 1A) is a small GTPase that drives the assembly of COPII-coated vesicles, mediating anterograde transport of nascent secretory cargo from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi apparatus. This quantitative immunoassay from Assay Genie targets the human SAR1A protein and is supplied in a 96 Assays configuration, accommodating full-plate experimental designs with appropriate calibrators and controls.

SAR1A expression has been investigated as a candidate biomarker in hepatocellular carcinoma, colorectal cancer, and other epithelial malignancies, and the protein plays a documented role in autophagy regulation, ER stress responses, and the unfolded protein response pathway. The assay is intended for research use only and supports quantitative measurement of human SAR1A across blood-derived biospecimens, tissue lysates, and cell culture supernatant samples collected under standard laboratory protocols.

Each kit contains a pre-coated plate, calibrated standard series, biotinylated detection reagent, streptavidin-enzyme conjugate, wash concentrate, chromogenic substrate, stop solution, and adhesive plate sealer. Components are shipped under refrigerated conditions and should be stored as directed in the product insert to preserve antibody binding activity and standard integrity across repeated freeze-thaw cycles when aliquoted by the user.

The workflow fits cell biology laboratories, cancer research groups, and translational studies focused on vesicular trafficking, secretory pathway dysfunction, and biomarker discovery in oncology and metabolic disease research.
