Human Saitohin (STH) ELISA Kit

Designed for the precise quantification of Saitohin in human biological samples, this Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie offers a reliable method for measuring a protein linked to neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease. The assay is reactive with human samples and accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Detection is performed colorimetrically on a microplate, with specificity demonstrated for natural and recombinant human Saitohin (synonym: STH).

Quantitative performance includes a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.067 ng/mL, with intra-assay CV of 5.2% and inter-assay CV of 10.2%. Linearity has been characterised in serum (96–116% across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions), EDTA plasma (100–124%), and heparin plasma (85–115%). Recovery averages 104% in serum (range 98–110%) and 106% in plasma (range 100–112%). Saitohin is detected in both cytoplasmic and nuclear compartments, with a reported molecular weight of 14 kDa, and the protein interacts with PRDX6.
