Human S1P (Sphingosine 1 Phosphate) ELISA Kit (HUFI04787)

From Assay Genie, this ELISA kit is intended for the quantitative measurement of human Sphingosine-1-Phosphate (S1P). The assay uses a competitive format in which the microplate is pre-coated with antigen. After incubation with standards or samples, a biotin-labeled antigen is added to form a sandwich complex, followed by HRP-conjugated Streptavidin and a TMB substrate. Absorbance is read at 450 nm, and signal intensity is proportional to the concentration of S1P as determined against a standard curve. Acceptable sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Performance characteristics stated by Assay Genie include a sensitivity of 1.875 ng/mL and a working range of 3.125–200 ng/mL. Reported linearity at 1:2 dilution is 89–105% for serum (n=10), 84–94% for EDTA plasma (n=10), and 80–96% for heparin plasma (n=10). Spiked recovery averages are 98% for serum (range 93–104), 95% for EDTA plasma (range 89–103), and 97% for heparin plasma (range 91–104).

The sealed kit is stored at 2–8°C and should not be cryopreserved.
