Human S100B/S100 beta ELISA Kit

This solid-phase sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of human S100B/S100 beta in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with a pre-coated microplate, a biotinylated detection antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin, and TMB substrate for a colorimetric reaction read at 450 nm.

The kit offers a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a measurable range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL. Reactivity is specific to human targets, associated with UniProt accession P04271 and Gene ID 6285. Reported linearity in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma falls within 80–101% across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions, while recovery ranges from 90–104% depending on sample matrix. Components are stored at 2–8°C, protected from light where indicated, and remain stable for up to 12 months under recommended conditions.

The workflow equilibrates reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature before use, followed by a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, a 60-minute detection antibody binding step, and a 30-minute HRP-streptavidin incubation. TMB development proceeds in the dark for 10–20 minutes before the reaction is stopped and absorbance is measured. The kit is intended for research applications in cell biology.
