Human S-phase kinase-associated protein 2 (SKP2) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative detection of human S-phase kinase-associated protein 2 (SKP2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. It is reactive with human samples and shows specificity for natural and recombinant SKP2, using a colorimetric ELISA readout.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.089ng/mL. Reported precision values are 4.3% intra-assay CV and 8.5% inter-assay CV. Linearity in serum (N=5) ranged 98-108% at 1:2, 99-108% at 1:4, 88-98% at 1:8 and 100-112% at 1:16 dilutions; EDTA plasma (N=5) ranged 89-99%, 102-113%, 107-116% and 97-107%; heparin plasma (N=5) ranged 108-117%, 80-93%, 89-98% and 95-105%. Recovery averaged 107% in serum (range 101-113%) and 109% in plasma (range 103-115%).

SKP2 acts as the substrate recognition component of an SCF (SKP1-CUL1-F-box protein) E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex that mediates the ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation of target proteins involved in cell cycle progression. The kit is intended for research use only, with a research focus in cancer biology.
