Human S-adenosylmethionine synthase isoform type-1 (MAT1A) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's sandwich ELISA kit offers quantitative measurement of human S-adenosylmethionine synthase isoform type-1 (MAT1A) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. MAT1A catalyzes the formation of S-adenosylmethionine from methionine and ATP, and the encoded protein (Uniprot Q00266) is documented as a homotetramer (MAT-I) or homodimer (MAT-III) with methionine adenosyltransferase activity located in the cytosol.

The assay is reactive with human samples and detects both natural and recombinant MAT1A, with a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.1ng/mL. Reported precision is 3.1% intra-assay CV and 8.2% inter-assay CV. Spike-and-recovery averaged 96% in serum (range 90-102%) and 98% in plasma (range 92-104%). Linearity was evaluated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
