Human Ryanodine receptor 1 (RYR1) ELISA Kit

The kit is suitable for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and reacts specifically with natural and recombinant human Ryanodine receptor 1.

The assay operates across a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.067ng/mL. Reported precision values include an intra-assay CV of 8.6% and an inter-assay CV of 10.3%. Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across serial dilutions, with recovery averaging 98% (range 92-104%) for serum and 100% (range 94-106%) for plasma.

RYR1 is a calcium release channel of the sarcoplasmic reticulum that plays a key role in triggering skeletal muscle contraction. Defects in the RYR1 gene are associated with malignant hyperthermia susceptibility type 1 (MHS1) and central core disease of muscle (CCD), among other myopathies.
