A quantitative immunoassay kit from Assay Genie intended to measure human Ribosomal Protein L17 (RPL17) levels in research specimens. RPL17 is a structural constituent of the large 60S ribosomal subunit, where it contributes to ribosome assembly and cytoplasmic protein translation, and its abundance is increasingly studied outside canonical translation biology.

Published work has placed RPL17 in translational oncology: the protein is overexpressed in hepatocellular carcinoma tissue, where elevated levels correlate with proliferative index and have been proposed as a candidate biomarker. Separate studies link dysregulated RPL17 expression to ribosomopathies, to Diamond-Blackfan-anemia-related pathways, and to cellular stress responses that interface with p53 signalling, making quantitative measurement of the protein useful for pathway-focused research as well as for disease-cohort profiling.

Researchers in hepatology, haematology, cancer biology, and ribosomal biogenesis use this ELISA to profile RPL17 abundance across patient cohorts, cell-line panels, xenograft samples, and treatment conditions. The product is supplied as a 96 Assays colorimetric kit, with reagents sufficient to establish a standard curve and quantify endogenous RPL17 in human-derived material. The kit is validated for human reactivity, performs across the typical working range of a sandwich-format quantitative ELISA, and is intended for research use only, supporting studies of translational control, oncogenic ribosome remodelling, and disease-associated dysregulation of ribosomal proteins.
