Human Ropporin-1A (ROPN1) ELISA Kit

A sandwich-format immunoassay from Assay Genie provides quantitative detection of human Ropporin-1A (ROPN1) in research samples. The kit reacts with natural and recombinant human Ropporin-1A (UniProt Q9HAT0) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and is supplied for research use only.

Ropporin-1A is a protein associated with sperm function and male fertility, and has been linked to the acrosome reaction and sperm capacitation. Reported synonyms for the target include Cancer/testis antigen 91, Rhophilin-associated protein 1A, CT91 and ROPN1A. The assay is therefore positioned for studies of male reproductive biology and related biomarker research.

Manufacturer specifications list a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.078ng/mL, with intra-assay CV of 7.2% and inter-assay CV of 8.5%. Linearity in serum (N=5) is given as 94-104% at 1:2, 83-94% at 1:4, 90-99% at 1:8 and 99-108% at 1:16 dilution. Average recovery is 91% (range 85-97%) for serum and 93% (range 87-99%) for plasma.
