Description

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human RISC-loading complex subunit TARBP2 in human samples. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is reactive with human samples, including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Reported specificity covers natural and recombinant human RISC-loading complex subunit TARBP2 (also known as TAR RNA-binding protein 2, Trans-activation-responsive RNA-binding protein, and TRBP).

Performance characteristics reported for the kit include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.19ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 6.0% and inter-assay CV is 11.3%. Linearity has been evaluated at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 (N=5) in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Recovery is reported as an average of 113% (range 107-119%) in serum and an average of 115% (range 109-120%) in plasma.

TARBP2 is a core component of the RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC) loading complex, where it works alongside DICER1 and AGO2 to process precursor miRNAs into mature miRNAs and load them onto AGO2. Dysregulation of TARBP2 has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer and viral infections, supporting its interest as a biomarker for research. The kit is intended for research use only.
