Description

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of Human Ribonucleoside-diphosphate reductase large subunit (RRM1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is supplied for research use only.

Performance specifications include a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.078ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 4.8% and inter-assay CV is 7.3%. Linearity has been characterised in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Average recovery is 100% in serum (range 94-106%) and 102% in plasma (range 96-108%). The kit is specific for natural and recombinant human RRM1.

RRM1 is the large, catalytic subunit of ribonucleotide reductase, providing the precursors necessary for DNA synthesis by catalysing the biosynthesis of deoxyribonucleotides from the corresponding ribonucleotides. The protein functions as a heterodimer with a small subunit (RRM2 or RRM2B), with the RRM2-containing heterodimer showing higher catalytic activity. RRM1 is located in the cytoplasm and is associated with the epigenetics research area.
