Human Ribonuclease 7 (RNASE7) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA is designed for the precise detection of human Ribonuclease 7 (RNASE7), a secreted antimicrobial protein belonging to the ribonuclease A superfamily (UniProt Q9H1E1). The kit quantifies RNase7 in human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and recognises both natural and recombinant human Ribonuclease 7.

The assay delivers a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL with a sensitivity of 23pg/mL, alongside an intra-assay CV of 6.5% and inter-assay CV of 9.4%. Dilutional linearity in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma is documented across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions; for example, serum showed 92-102%, 82-92%, 108-117% and 83-93% respectively, while EDTA plasma showed 96-104%, 100-110%, 100-109% and 107-118%, and heparin plasma showed 96-105%, 102-114%, 101-113% and 108-119%. Spike-and-recovery averaged 98% for serum (range 92-104%) and 100% for plasma (range 94-106%). The target protein has a confirmed molecular weight of 16.9 kDa (151 aa) by MALDI-TOF, and is listed under the Research Area of Epigenetics. RNase7 is a key biomarker of innate immunity, with broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity relevant to studies of skin diseases, infections and other immune-related conditions.
