Human Rho-related GTP-binding protein RhoC (RHOC) ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative measurement of human Rho-related GTP-binding protein RhoC (RHOC). RHOC is a small GTPase of the Rho family that regulates a signal transduction pathway linking plasma membrane receptors to the assembly of focal adhesions and actin stress fibers, and serves as a microtubule-dependent signal required for myosin contractile ring formation during cell cycle cytokinesis. The kit also supports study of its role in apical junction formation in bronchial epithelial cells, with relevance to research into cancer, inflammation, and cardiovascular disorders where RHOC dysregulation has been implicated.

The assay is intended for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant human RHOC. Reported performance includes a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.12 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 5.8%, and an inter-assay CV of 8.3%. Linearity was validated across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2 to 1:16, and average recovery is 108% (range 102–114%) in serum and 110% (range 104–116%) in plasma.
