Description

A double-antibody sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of RGS19 in human samples. The assay uses colorimetric detection and supports research in the area of autophagy.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 0.469 ng/mL and an assay range of 0.781–50 ng/mL. It has been validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid sample types. Reagents are stored at 2–8°C and remain stable for 12 months under those conditions.

The protocol comprises six sequential steps: reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody incubation for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB substrate development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and a stop reaction with absorbance read at 450 nm. Linearity has been verified for serum (82–100%), EDTA plasma (83–99%), and heparin plasma (81–101%) across 1:2 to 1:8 dilutions. Recovery ranges from 85–104% with averages between 94–99% across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma. RGS19, also referred to as GAIP or GNAI3IP (UniProt P49795), modulates G protein signalling pathways implicated in cell growth, differentiation, and migration, with dysregulation linked to cancer, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
