Human RGM-C/Hemojuvelin ELISA Kit

A colorimetric Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of human RGM-C (Hemojuvelin) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Reported linearity (n=5) is 91-105% at 1:2, 86-99% at 1:4, and 80-99% at 1:8 in serum; 86-104%, 84-94%, and 80-100% in EDTA plasma; and 93-98%, 82-99%, and 85-99% in heparin plasma. Recovery ranges are 87-104% (average 94%) for serum, 93-101% (97%) for EDTA plasma, and 93-105% (96%) for heparin plasma. The procedure uses a biotinylated detection antibody with HRP-streptavidin and TMB substrate, and absorbance is read at 450 nm. Reagents are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

RGM-C, also known as Hemojuvelin, is a critical regulator of iron homeostasis and is implicated in conditions such as hemochromatosis and iron deficiency anemia, making the kit suited to research into iron metabolism and related disorders.
