The Assay Genie immunoassay panel targets human RFNG, a Golgi-resident glycosyltransferase that extends O-linked fucose residues on the EGF-like repeats of NOTCH1 and NOTCH2 by adding N-acetylglucosamine in a beta-1,3 linkage. This fringe modification tunes ligand-selective Notch activation and is required for proper boundary formation during somitogenesis, T-cell development at the beta-selection checkpoint, and sprouting angiogenesis. Researchers studying spondylocostal dysostosis, immune cell-fate decisions, or vascular patterning can apply this ELISA to quantify RFNG expression in human cell and tissue samples.

Reagents are supplied for 96 determinations and include a pre-coated microplate, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, wash buffer, chromogenic substrate, and stop solution. The protocol is intended for research use only, with substrate handling that calls for protection from light and refrigerated storage of kit components between uses. The kit fits workflows in which a Notch pathway readout is correlated with changes in fringe glycosyltransferase expression, for example in gain- and loss-of-function cell culture models or in tissue lysates from relevant disease models.
