The Assay Genie immunoassay enables quantitative measurement of human Replication Factor C subunit 4, a member of the heteropentameric RFC complex that loads PCNA onto primed DNA during S phase and supports nucleotide excision repair pathways. RFC4 expression is frequently investigated in cancer biology, where elevated transcript and protein levels have been associated with proliferative activity, tumor progression, and poor prognosis across multiple cancer types including breast, lung, and colorectal carcinomas. Each kit provides all necessary reagents for a complete 96 Assays workflow, including pre-coated microplate wells, calibrated standards in lyophilized form, biotinylated detection antibody, and horseradish peroxidase conjugate for immediate experimental setup.

The assay has been validated for quantifying endogenous RFC4 protein from blood-derived samples, cell lysates, and tissue homogenate preparations, supporting diverse research applications in DNA damage response, biomarker discovery, and cell proliferation studies. Standard laboratory absorbance microplate readers are sufficient for signal acquisition, and results are interpolated against the supplied calibration curve with concentrations reported in ng/mL. Unopened components should be stored refrigerated at 4 degrees C, while reconstituted standards and concentrated detection antibody require storage at -20 degrees C in single-use aliquots to prevent loss of binding activity from repeated freeze-thaw cycles. The product is supplied for research use only and is not intended for diagnostic or clinical procedures.
