A quantitative immunoassay from Assay Genie enables researchers to measure Retinoic Acid Receptor Responder 1 (RARRES1), a retinoic acid-inducible tumor suppressor also known as Tazarotene-Induced Gene 1 (TIG1). RARRES1 was originally characterized through its induction by the synthetic retinoid tazarotene, and subsequent work has linked loss of its expression to renal cell carcinoma, breast tumors, prostate cancer, and several additional malignancies.
Because the protein participates in cell-cycle arrest, differentiation, and epithelial-mesenchymal transition, the kit is used in oncology research, retinoid signaling studies, and investigations of tumor-suppressor silencing mechanisms. Each kit ships as a 96-assay configuration intended for use with prepared human samples in laboratory settings, processed according to standard plate-based immunoassay workflows. Refrigerate the kit upon arrival and allow components to reach room temperature before running the assay to ensure consistent signal development and reproducible standard curves.
