Human Resistin ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this ELISA Kit is designed for the precise measurement of resistin in human samples using a Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody format with colorimetric detection. The assay offers a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a measuring range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, saliva, and other liquid samples. Resistin is a key adipokine implicated in insulin resistance, inflammation, and metabolic disorders, with elevated levels associated with obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease, making it a valuable biomarker for biomedical research.

The workflow begins with reagent and TMB substrate equilibration to room temperature, followed by a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C to allow antigen binding. A biotin-labeled detection antibody is then added and incubated for 60 minutes, after which HRP-Streptavidin conjugate is applied for 30 minutes. Colour development with TMB substrate proceeds in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and the reaction is stopped for absorbance reading at 450 nm. Sample preparation guidance is provided for serum, plasma, tissue homogenate, cell culture supernatant, and cell lysate.
