Description

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Repulsive guidance molecule A (RGMA) in biological samples. RGMA is a member of the repulsive guidance molecule family involved in axon guidance during nervous system development and in neural regeneration and plasticity in the adult. Dysregulation of RGMA has been implicated in various neurological disorders, making it a useful biomarker for neurodevelopmental and disease research.

The assay is reactive with human samples. Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.196ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 6.2% and inter-assay CV is 7.5%. Linearity in serum ranges from 82-119% across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16, with EDTA plasma at 81-107% and heparin plasma at 81-115%. Recovery is 108% for serum (range 102-114%) and 110% for plasma (range 104-116%). Specificity covers natural and recombinant human RGMA.

Acceptable sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit is intended for research use only. The target protein (UniProt Q96B86, NCBI Gene ID 56963) is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchored glycoprotein localised to the cell membrane with a reported molecular weight of 72.5 kDa. Synonyms include RGM domain family member A and RGM. The product falls within the Neurosciences research area.
