Human Renin ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the precise quantification of renin levels in human serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. Renin is a key enzyme involved in the regulation of blood pressure and fluid balance, and the assay is intended as a tool for researchers studying hypertension, renal disorders, and cardiovascular diseases.

The kit uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection, offering a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a measuring range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL. Reported linearity falls between 89% and 105% across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at serial dilutions, while recovery averages between 99% and 100%. Reagents should be stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months.

The procedure involves equilibrating reagents to room temperature, loading standards and samples onto the pre-coated plate, incubating for antigen binding, adding a biotin-labeled detection antibody followed by HRP-Streptavidin, developing color with TMB substrate, and reading absorbance at 450 nm after adding stop solution.
