The Assay Genie Relaxin-1 immunoassay enables quantitative measurement of human RLN1 peptide in blood-derived fractions and conditioned media from cultured cells. Relaxin-1 is a peptide hormone of the insulin superfamily, primarily produced by the prostate, ovary, and decidua, and is studied across reproductive biology, fibrosis models, cardiovascular remodeling, and pregnancy research workflows. The antibody pair recognizes distinct epitopes of human RLN1, providing human-specific detection with no significant cross-reactivity with relaxin-2 or related insulin-family peptides. Store unused microplate strips refrigerated in the sealed foil pouch with desiccant; reconstituted standard should be aliquoted and frozen at minus 20 degrees C to limit freeze-thaw cycles. Reconstitute the lyophilized standard in the supplied buffer, perform the assay at room temperature on a microplate, and read absorbance on a standard plate reader.
