Human Regulator of G-protein signaling 3 (RGS3) ELISA Kit

A sandwich-format ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of human Regulator of G-protein signaling 3 (RGS3), also referred to as RGP3. The assay shows reactivity to human samples and is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, with specificity confirmed for both natural and recombinant human RGS3.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 31.2-2000 pg/mL, a sensitivity of 15 pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.5%, and an inter-assay CV of 9.6%. Recovery is reported at an average of 102% (range 96-108%) for serum and 104% (range 98-110%) for plasma. Linearity across serial dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 has been demonstrated for serum (105-115%, 82-91%, 92-101%, 107-115%), EDTA plasma (82-92%, 95-95%, 82-92%, 102-111%) and heparin plasma (85-96%, 88-100%, 101-109%, 94-104%).

RGS3 functions to down-regulate signaling from heterotrimeric G-proteins by increasing the GTPase activity of the alpha subunits, driving them into their inactive GDP-bound form. It also down-regulates G-protein-mediated release of inositol phosphates and activation of MAP kinases. The kit is for research use only.
