Human Regulator of G-protein signaling 19 (RGS19) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of human Regulator of G-protein signaling 19 (RGS19) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with human samples and uses a colorimetric ELISA detection method, recognising both natural and recombinant human RGS19.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.78–50 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.34 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.7% and an inter-assay CV of 6.5%. Recovery is 91% (range 85–97%) in serum and 93% (range 87–99%) in plasma, and linearity has been evaluated across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma dilutions.

RGS19, also known by the synonyms G-alpha-interacting protein, GAIP and GNAI3IP (UniProt P49795), inhibits signal transduction by increasing the GTPase activity of G protein alpha subunits, thereby driving them into their inactive GDP-bound form. The protein localises to the membrane as a lipid-anchor and interacts with the GIPC PDZ domain. The kit is intended for research use only.
