Human Regulator of G-protein signaling 1 (RGS1) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a colorimetric Sandwich ELISA kit designed for the quantitative measurement of Regulator of G-protein signaling 1 (RGS1) in human samples. The kit is intended for research use only and is reactive with human samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids.

The assay has a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.1ng/mL. It shows an intra-assay CV of 4.6% and an inter-assay CV of 8.6%. Linearity has been validated across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples at multiple dilutions, with serum recovery averaging 94% (range 88-100%) and plasma recovery averaging 96% (range 90-102%). The kit is specific for natural and recombinant human RGS1 (UniProt Q08116), a regulator of G-protein coupled receptor signaling cascades that modulates B-cell chemotaxis and signal transduction through GTPase activity on G protein alpha subunits.

RGS1 dysregulation has been implicated in cancer, immune disorders, and neurological conditions, making its measurement valuable for studies of G-protein signaling pathways in human health and disease. The kit can detect this protein in the cytosol and at the cytoplasmic side of the plasma membrane, where it interacts with GNAI1 and GNAQ.
