Description

Assay Genie supplies a colorimetric Sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative measurement of human Regenerating Islet Derived Protein 3 Gamma (REG3G). The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format and is intended for use with human samples including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other biological liquids.

Across the manufacturer's catalogue, two kit variants are documented for this target. One variant reports a sensitivity of 0.938 ng/mL with a measuring range of 1.563–100 ng/mL, while a second variant reports a sensitivity of 0.064 ng/mL and a range of 0.16–10 ng/mL; a third listing states a range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL with a sensitivity of 14.5 pg/mL. Reported intra-assay precision is CV <8–10% and inter-assay precision is CV <10–12%. Recovery in spiked serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma is documented in the range of approximately 79–108% across dilutions, and linearity data are provided for serial dilutions of those matrices. The procedure is a standard sandwich ELISA with biotin-labelled detection antibody, HRP-streptavidin, TMB substrate development and absorbance read at 450 nm.

REG3G (also referred to by synonyms including REG-III, PAP1B, PAPIB, UNQ429 and pancreatitis-associated protein 1B; UniProt Q6UW15) is a protein linked to tissue regeneration and inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract and pancreas, and is investigated as a biomarker in research contexts including inflammatory bowel disease, pancreatitis and colorectal cancer. The kits are intended for research use only.
