Human REG1 alpha/REG1A ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the in vitro quantitative determination of human REG1alpha concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids, using a double-antibody format. The assay has a sensitivity of 37.5pg/ml and a working range of 62.5-4000pg/ml.

Spike-and-recovery testing reported by the manufacturer gave 85-104% (average 97%) in serum (n=5), 85-103% (95%) in EDTA plasma (n=5), and 85-94% (90%) in UFH plasma (n=5). Linearity across serial dilutions of 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 yielded 92-103%, 94-105% and 88-100% in serum; 82-94%, 84-97% and 83-98% in EDTA plasma; and 86-100%, 83-99% and 86-95% in UFH plasma. Reported precision is Intra-Assay CV<8% and Inter-Assay CV<10%.

Components include an 8×12-strip dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, sample/standard dilution buffer, biotin-labeled antibody concentrate, antibody dilution buffer, HRP-streptavidin conjugate (SABC) with SABC dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, 25× wash buffer and plate sealers. The kit is stored at 4°C for 6 months and is for research use only. The human REG1A gene encodes lithostathine-1-alpha, a secreted protein mapped to chromosome 2p12 that may inhibit spontaneous calcium carbonate precipitation and is associated with neuronal sprouting and with brain and pancreas regeneration.
