The Assay Genie REEP5 ELISA Kit enables quantitative detection of human Receptor Expression Enhancing Protein 5, a member of the REEP family that participates in shaping the endoplasmic reticulum and in microtubule-based ER tubule formation. This colorimetric assay uses a sandwich-format setup and is calibrated for quantitative work with liquid clinical specimens, supporting research into ER morphology, cargo transport, and membrane remodeling pathways. Each well plate uses a 100 ul sample volume and is supplied for in vitro research use only. The capture antibody is human-specific, with no significant cross-reactivity reported against analogous REEP paralogs in non-human samples, making it a useful tool for studies that compare human cellular models with limited interference from related family proteins.
