Human RDH13 ELISA Kit (HUFI06867)

This Assay Genie kit quantitatively measures retinol dehydrogenase 13 (RDH13), a mitochondria-localized NAD-dependent enzyme that oxidizes retinol to retinaldehyde in cellular retinoid metabolism. Distinct from cytosolic NADP-dependent RDH family members, RDH13 has been investigated in hepatocellular carcinoma studies where it modulates oxidative stress responses and chemosensitivity, as well as in broader retinal biology and vision research programs.

The microplate-based workflow uses a biotinylated detection antibody and streptavidin-HRP with TMB substrate development, and supports quantitative detection across human-derived blood fractions. Typical loading requires 100 uL of prepared sample per well, and sufficient reagents are provided for the full plate of assays. Unopened kit components should be kept refrigerated; reconstituted standards and detection antibody should be aliquoted and frozen to minimize freeze-thaw cycles and preserve binding activity for downstream in vitro research applications.
