The RD3 protein (retinal degeneration 3) is a ciliary protein essential for the trafficking of retinal guanylyl cyclase to photoreceptor outer segments. Loss-of-function variants in the RD3 gene cause Leber congenital amaurosis type 12 (LCA12), a severe early-onset retinal dystrophy. This Assay Genie kit supports quantitative measurement of RD3 in clinical research specimens, including investigations of disease progression, carrier screening, and gene therapy efficacy monitoring.

Each kit includes a pre-coated microplate, detection antibody, lyophilized standards, and chromogenic substrate. Standard assay workflow with sample volume of 100 uL per well, run in duplicate.
