The Human RCE1 ELISA from Assay Genie enables quantitative detection of endogenous CAAX prenyl protease 2 in human research specimens. RCE1 is an endoplasmic reticulum membrane-bound metalloprotease that executes the second cleavage step of CAAX protein maturation, excising the C-terminal AAX tripeptide from farnesylated and geranylgeranylated substrates following prenyltransferase modification of the cysteine thiol.
