The Assay Genie RBFOX1 immunoassay is a quantitative ELISA kit that measures RNA binding protein fox-1 homolog 1 in human research samples. RBFOX1 is a large RNA-binding protein (approximately 43 kDa) that governs tissue-specific alternative pre-mRNA splicing through binding to (U)GCAUG motifs in target transcripts. It is highly expressed in neurons, cardiac myocytes, and skeletal muscle, where it influences transcript isoform selection critical for synaptic transmission, membrane excitability, and contractile regulation.
