ACC1 (ACACA) catalyzes the rate-limiting step of de novo fatty acid synthesis, and phosphorylation at Ser79 by AMPK suppresses its enzymatic activity, making the phospho-to-total ratio a direct indicator of AMPK pathway activation in metabolic studies.

Compatible with cell lysates and tissue lysates of human or rat origin, this microplate-based kit supports research into lipogenesis, cancer cell metabolism, obesity, type 2 diabetes, and hepatic steatosis, where dysregulated ACC1 activity is implicated. Researchers typically load 100 µL of prepared lysate per well of the supplied well plate.
