Human Ras GTPase-activating-like protein IQGAP1 (IQGAP1) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative detection of human Ras GTPase-activating-like protein IQGAP1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The immunoassay is for research use only and recognises both natural and recombinant human IQGAP1 (UniProt P46940), with the target also referred to by the synonyms p195 and KIAA0051.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.045 ng/mL. Precision is reported as an intra-assay CV of 5.6% and an inter-assay CV of 9.6%. Linearity has been validated at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 for serum (97–107%, 109–121%, 82–92%, 108–118%), EDTA plasma (95–104%, 92–101%, 99–110%, 112–112%) and heparin plasma (106–116%, 97–107%, 91–100%, 104–116%). Recovery values are an average of 113% (range 107–119%) for serum and an average of 115% (range 109–120%) for plasma.

IQGAP1 is implicated in cell signalling, cell-cell adhesion and cell migration, with research applications in cancer and broader relevance to cardiovascular and neurodegenerative disorders. The protein binds activated CDC42 without stimulating its GTPase activity, associates with calmodulin and is thought to act as a scaffold linking signalling inputs to actin cytoskeleton reorganisation at the plasma membrane.
