Ras-related protein Rap-2a (RAP2A) is a Ras-superfamily GTPase involved in cell adhesion, spreading, and integrin-driven cytoskeletal remodeling, and this immunoassay from Assay Genie provides a quantitative tool for measuring its levels in human-derived research samples.

The kit contains matched antibody pairs, a recombinant RAP2A reference standard, and detection reagents configured for plate-based absorbance readout, supporting investigations into tumor cell migration, neuronal pathfinding, and signaling-pathway studies.

Researchers load processed specimens into the pre-coated plate, complete the recommended incubation and wash sequence, and record absorbance values for interpolation against the standard curve. Reconstituted standards and concentrated detection antibody should be stored frozen as small aliquots to limit repeated freeze-thaw exposure, while other kit components are kept refrigerated on arrival and handled at chilled temperatures during the working assay. The kit is supplied as a single-use microplate configuration suitable for in vitro research workflows, and is intended for research use only.

Common applications include profiling RAP2A expression across disease and control cohorts, comparing GTPase signaling responses in cell culture models, and complementing western blot or PCR-based studies that examine upstream regulators or downstream effectors of Rap-family GTPases. Because RAP2A participates in receptor-driven adhesion pathways, the assay also supports mechanism-of-action studies in cell migration, invasion, and tissue-remodeling contexts.
