Description

Designed for the quantitative measurement of pyridoxal phosphate phosphatase (PDXP) in human samples, this sandwich-format ELISA kit from Assay Genie uses a colorimetric detection method and accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids. PDXP is a serine phosphatase involved in pyridoxal phosphate metabolism that regulates cofilin-dependent actin cytoskeleton reorganization, and dysregulation of this enzyme has been linked to neurological disorders, metabolic syndromes, and cardiovascular disease.

The assay reports a detection range of 0.625–40 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.176 ng/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 4.0% and an inter-assay CV of 7.8%. It detects both natural and recombinant human PDXP (also known by the synonyms Chronophin, PLP phosphatase, CIN, PLP, and PLPP; UniProt Q96GD0) and is intended for research use only.
