Description

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Pyridoxal Kinase (PDXK) in research samples. The double-antibody sandwich format uses colorimetric detection and accepts human samples including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Pyridoxal kinase is described as a key enzyme in vitamin B6 metabolism, with cited research relevance to amino acid metabolism, neurotransmitter synthesis, and immune system function, and with dysregulation linked to epilepsy, inflammation, and metabolic disorders.

Reported performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a working range of 0.313 to 20 ng/mL. Linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions has been measured in serum (n=5) at 86 to 103%, 89 to 103% and 88 to 99%; EDTA plasma (n=5) at 89 to 96%, 83 to 96% and 85 to 98%; and heparin plasma (n=5) at 80 to 91%, 80 to 99% and 87 to 93%. Recovery ranges are 85 to 105% (average 99%) in serum, 91 to 102% (average 95%) in EDTA plasma, and 87 to 103% (average 95%) in heparin plasma (each n=5). The workflow involves reagent equilibration, a 37 degrees C primary incubation for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody incubation for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB development in the dark for 10 to 20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after adding stop solution. The kit is stored at 2-8 degrees C for 12 months.
