Description

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative detection of human Puromycin-sensitive aminopeptidase (NPEPPS) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is specific for natural and recombinant human NPEPPS. It is intended for research use only.

NPEPPS is a zinc metallopeptidase with broad substrate specificity that is involved in proteolytic events essential for cell growth and viability, antigen processing for MHC class I molecules, and the N-terminal trimming of cytotoxic T-cell epitope precursors. Dysregulation of NPEPPS activity has been linked to cancer, autoimmune disorders, and infectious diseases, making it a useful biomarker for studying disease mechanisms. The protein (UniProt: P55786, NCBI Gene ID: 9520) is detected in the cytoplasm, cytosol, and nucleus as a monomer.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.078ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.5%, and an inter-assay CV of 10.8%. Linearity has been validated in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16. Recovery is 98-110% in serum (average 104%) and 100-112% in plasma (average 106%). The kit is shipped at +4°C, with components stored at -20°C or 4°C as specified.
